About Me
Hi, I’m Michael. I live in Brooklyn.
I write software. In addition to my day job at a mental health tech startup, I have a few of my own personal projects:
- Scrippy – a Fountain markup language screenwriting app
- ActionTree – a dependency-graph to-do list
- Bentwood – SaaS that can power a teaching theater’s website
You can check out my GitHub or LinkedIn pages.
I do comedy. I write, perform, and direct improv and sketch comedy. Mostly at the Magnet Theater on 29th St. in Manhattan. Here’s some links to comedy things I do or have done in the past:
- Cult Classic is my sketch comedy team
- I do improv about mental health with You Are Not Alone
- I wrote and performed in Superhero Powers, a sketch I think is funny
- I acted in Jane Is Just Too Good, a funny video sketch about a beatboxer
I play music. I play guitar, mandolin, and piano, to varying degrees of proficiency.
I like to travel. I’ve been to a bunch of countries and states. I love biking and walking across bridges, and keep a big list of the ones I have traversed.
I like trivia and puzzles. I watch Jeopardy, love the NYT Crossword, and play Learned League.
